Support from the laboratory of the SFB 504
We provide both permanent and individual support.
- Permanent support can be divided into two fields: Technical
maintenance of the laboratory and provision of information.
- Individual support is provided through guidance and information during
all stages of carring out experiments.
- The technical state of the laboratory is documented here. If you have suggestions as far as hard-
or software is concerned please contact us.
- Permanent Information is provided on the www
and through courses.
- We are further always glad to provide individual
support. Regardless whether you want to discuss your research
questions, the details of your setup, the particularities of your
technical implementation, or questions that arise while you evaluate
the results you got - we will always be pleased to help.
- Please plan ahead and arrange an appointment before you come. You
can try to drop in spontaneously but please don't be disappointed if I
am busy with something else.
- If you develop experimental software in the laboratory you may
need some help to get used to a possibly new environment. If you
expect that you have questions during this stage you may want to
arrange some stand-by support. However, it would be nice if you could
clarify in advance whether you need one hour (or more) exclusively for
yourselves or whether you expect to have two or three one-minute
questions.
- We recommend that you come and discuss your setup at an early
stage. You are not the only person running experiments here, hence,
there is no reason for you to repeat mistakes that have been made
already.
