Professor Dr. Benny Moldovanu

Prof. Moldovanu was born in 1962. He has been at the University of Mannheim since 1995. Prof. Moldovanu obtained a B.Sc. (1986) and an M.Sc. (1989) from The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He then went to Bonn for graduate work under the supervision of Prof. Reinhard Selten. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1991, and his Habilitation in 1995 (both at Bonn). Prof. Moldovanu has served as visiting professor at Michigan, Northwestern, Tel-Aviv and University College, London. He has given numerous invited lectures at universities such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Princeton, Berkeley, Yale, LSE, Toulouse and Oxford. Professor Moldovanu's research focuses on auction theory, mechanism design, bargaining, coalition formation and industrial organization. He serves as Associate Editor for Journal of Economic Theory and as Panel Member for Economic Policy.
